Friends, Romans, countrymen-lend me your corner office.

Stanley Bing's 2006 book

Rome Inc.: The Rise and Fall of the First Multinational Corporation was a blast. I loved it. Treating the rise and fall of the Roman Empire
as if it were a modern multinational corporation, Bing shows us how
Rome prospered and how it floundered. From its mythic origins to its
eventual sack by the barbarian hordes, Bing chronicles Rome's thousand
year history with verve and humor. Who knows, after reading this book,
you might end up with a whole new respect for despotism and blind
ambition.
